About Monike D’Motas

Monk Books is the editorial of a Cuban American former journalist having a bachelor’s degree in communications since 1974.
Writing under the pen name of Monike D’Motas, in her youth this actual author developed a successful career as press reporter and radio scriptwriter between 1974 and 1981, year in which the Cuban Communist Party, banned her as journalist. Years later, being without a job or working far for her profession, she entered in the government opposition’s as freelance journalist, sending reports to Miami agencies about the human rights regimen’s violations.
At the beginning of the 21st century, she received refugee in the U.S.A. due to be at risk of political imprisonment in Cuba, being obligated to destroy their unpublished writings to get out of the country.
Actually, she is the author of several fiction and non-fiction books published on Amazon, including two series of thrillers under the tittles of SHADOWS NETWORK and FOREIGN AFFAIRS. Her reality production comprises texts about a scientific proof of the soul’s development (DESIGNS OF THE KINGDOM), and memories of a coma’s survivor (RENOVATION AFTER THE TUNNEL LIGHT).
